Spendometer
The Moneybasics Spendometer makes day-to-day budgeting simple and practical.
As one in four Brits has no idea how much they spend in a week, a budgeting tool that is accessible and is easy to use is vital.
By downloading the free Moneybasics Spendometer you will be able to:
- Set budget limits so that you don't overspend;
- See your 'spending speed' - see where, and how much, of your money has been spent so far in a given week or month;
- Log spending in under 10 seconds;
- Set a special "going out" function to help to limit overspending on a night out.
Using this tool
- You will need a WAP enabled mobile phone
- The Moneybasics Spendometer is completely free to download and to use
- Quick Start Guide
- If you have an iPhone you can download the Spendometer app
Why do I need it?
If you're trying to stick to a budget, it's a good idea to keep a record of everything you spend, but it's hard work writing everything down in a notebook.
Every time you buy something, simply enter it into the Spendometer on your phone, and it will keep a record for you.
Set your own spending limits, and choose how your spending will be reported - daily, weekly or monthly.
There are four default categories to choose from - clothes, entertainment, going out, food and drink - or you can choose your own.
Check if you can afford a purchase before you buy it.
